For years, we have watched businesses struggle with image rights. Some overlooked them, assuming it was not important. Others found themselves blocked, unable to use the images they wanted because the paperwork was missing. In both cases, creativity suffered and trust was undermined.
We are Jim and Alan, and after more than two decades in publishing, marketing and web development, we decided to do something about it. imageRelease grew out of our frustration with the way releases and permissions were handled, and out of our belief that there had to be a simpler, better way.
Our mission is clear: do not let missing releases kill your creativity. Image rights and GDPR should not be treated as chores. At their heart, they are about respecting people’s rights, protecting their data, and promoting diversity. When managed properly, they do more than prevent problems. They unlock potential.
That is why we built imageRelease as a platform that is affordable, secure and straightforward. We wanted to turn a complicated process into something practical and easy to manage, so that tourism businesses, photographers and marketing agencies can focus on what they do best.
